Ugandan president's son offers 100 cows for Giorgia Meloni, threatens war if we refuse
Muhoozi Kainerugaba fell in love with Fratelli d'Italia's leader, WTF
Welcome to the first Substack post by CrazyItalianPol, the Twitter account that covers all the craziness of Italian politics - and there's a lot of it!
So. The election campaign ended a few days ago, and things have been pretty quiet lately, so I was wondering: shall we do a post on Berlusconi and his adventures on TikTok?
Yes, but not now, because just yesterday events took a rather bizarre turn. It’s a story about politics, love… and cows!
Here’s what happening.
Apparently in Uganda there’s some guy called - check notes - Muhoozi Kainerugaba, which is no less than the commander of the land forces of the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). Curiously enough, he is also the eldest son of current President Yoweri Museveni.
Cool ‘staches. Let's see this guy in more detail. Kainerugaba was born in 1974, he is the likely successor of his father in 2026, he is apparently an introvert kind of guy (aww!) and he is quite famous for his use and misuse of Twitter, according to Wikipedia.
So, what does he have to do with the likely future Italian PM Giorgia Meloni?
Buckle up because things get rowdy from here.
Yesterday (Oct 2) Kainerugaba tweets this, asking to other users “how many cows” they would give (to? for?) the next Prime Minister of Italy.
Kainerugaba says that he would give her “100 Nkore cows immediately! For being fearless and true!!”, which apparently is a sh*tload of money.
OK, at this point things have already taken a turn for the worse.
But that's not all, because in the next tweet (which Kainerugaba deleted shortly afterwards) he threatens to wage war if 'the Romans' reject his offer.
(Like, these Romans?)
(Poor fella, he has no idea what the traffic in Rome is like)
First of all, I would like to thank Giornalettismo and NextQuotidiano for covering the news and quoting us in their report.
Do you think the cow saga is over? Not even close. Today (Oct 3) Kainerugaba made another tweet in which he explained to Italians that in his culture it is customary to give cows to women, while we European losers give them flowers.
(My girlfriend asked me for a Harry Potter advent calendar, whatever)
The latest tweet (for now) concerns the Italian ambassador to Uganda, whom Kainerugaba pinned as 'Katerarume'. What is Katerarume, you say? Apparently the one who meets the bride's family and presents the offer.
So... this Kainerugaba dude wants to propose to Giorgia Meloni through the Italian ambassador?
Last but not least, he said that he will conquer Rome “with cows and love”. Jeez.
...Well, we've seen enough for today.
Welcome to CrazyItalianPol! Don't forget to share this post with your friends!
See you again!
great one! Finally welcome to Substack mate!
Three hundred cows is not a big deal for the son of the Ugandan President. Pamoja Safaris Uganda can take them to Murchison Falls National Park to see herds of African buffaloes too. Uganda is a rich with diversity and culture that offers adventure to the pearl of Africa
